Its great to see a new brand for tires that's MTB oriented at the first place. They seem to push the boundaries and innovate which is what a good company always needs. I look forward to try some Geax once my Maxxis tyres die.

Geax looks like it's done a really good job putting the AKA out on the market! I like how Aaron could film the boys testing the tire instead of Geax just saying "Look guys, we have a new tire out...Weeeee...".

I would like to see the tire on the website but it's looking pretty good! I wouldn't mind trying out a pair for myself at all.

And I don't know what it is but theres something about Aarons editing that never gets old for me, so keep it up! Salute

Currently I am riding Intense Mk2s and they constantly roll off and pinch flats if I am even a bit sloppy or hard on landings. Since that's my experience I really like the Tire Casing Page that gives much more detail to how Geax casings are constructed. Just compare for yourself...

The detail and cutouts are great and show much more information to help make the best tire choice. I can't speak much to the ride yet, but I hope to soon!

To be honest, I didn't knew Geax until the movie "What's Next" was released. By that time, I started to look at what I thougth it was a brand new tyre company. A few weeks ago, I was looking for some new tyres and the name Geax just popped up in my head. I got some Booze tyres (what a brilliant name Big Grin

) and I'm amazed with their performance. Their awsome so props to the company and to all the research they've been trough to get to this point.

Those tires look like they can take a lot of punishment. I have tried some fufanus and abucadas on my kenda nevegals and syncros BHT's but those tires look like they are ready for more abuse. They look more stable and ready to be beat on. They look hella fast and i would love to try a set out sometime if i get some money soon! Keep it up Geax!

Yesterday I was trying to figure out some new tires to get and so I thought I'd check out the Geax site since I didn't have a whole lot of knowledge on them. Didn't realize I was looking at the new and improved site but it was pretty sweet. Just a few notes on my first impressions. 1) On the description tab of each tire you have the star ratings for each tire. I thought this was awesome, other than the fact that I had no clue what I was looking at in terms of each surface type (except mud). Eventually I clicked on feedback and it had a legend for each symbol, this helped alot, but it would be nice if you could scroll over each symbol on the description and it popped up what surface you were looking at or there was a legend in clear view/the home page or something. 2) Could you create categories for wood and snow? They aren't major riding surfaces but it would be nice to know how these will grip on a skinny. And finally 3)Maybe a category that rates overall rolling resistance. I know you wouldn't want to advertise a slow rolling tire, and we can infer it from the types of surfaces that the tires perform best at, but it would be nice. Cheers!

hey there all those wanting to try the GEAX tryes out, i am one of the protoype testers in the UK and have watched GEAX make leaps and bounds forward over the past 4 years. for xc i wouldnt use anything else they are very grippy and uber fast, i even used the booze tyres once in a natural terrain xc race, that was fun - broadslide yeeha!!

anyway its the DH tyres that they are really trying to improve upon. and again speed is the deciding factor. everyone knows how grippy maxxis are and how puncture proof they are but the price you pay for that is a very slow rolling tyre. not a big deal for freeride, but if you are racing DH the difference between a GEAX and a MAXXIS is unbelievable. i and a few others have been testing these tyres to the point of bursting and whilst we have suffered for your benefit the tyres are getting stronger and tougher and grippier by the month. i will be testing the DATURA out at the scottish winter series over the next 2 months, so far i have been very impressed. running them at 15psi in icy conditions was a godsend.

2 things though - get decent tyre levers if you are going to run the TNT versions
- please go to the website and leave feedback on tyres you have used

GEAX being solely a bike tyre company who make only for themselves and nobody else (the only tyre company that owns their factory) are able to change designs and protoypes at the drop of a hat. so please Leave feedback

Can't wait to get my hands on a set of theese bad boys! They remind me of small block 8s just theese aren't as known about.. Till now. It's great to see that companies are coming up with new ways to promote their products and to see that they are sponsoring some of the up and coming talent that is out there. I can still remember asking what Geax was when I heard Casey groves was sponsored by them. Now that I've sort of seen them in action I'm sold. So far I've heard nothing but good things about this company and their products. These will definatly be what's next for my bike

I first heard about these guys when i saw the article about casey groves switching to them i thought they were just another tire company but the new video really proves that they listen to their riders they dont just name tires after their pros they look at the market and what people are in demand of im super stoked for this company. keep up the good work Geax you guys are gnar they've really changed my mind about them the aka are my next and last hopefully tire im gonna run

I've recently decided to explore Geax for the tubeless tires I'm buying to go with new wheels and I must admit their new website (never saw the old one btw...) is very well made and extremely helpful in convincing me to add 2 tires to my order. I'm pretty anxious to give them a try and hopefully I'll find that perfect all-around rear tire for my XC bike (Barro Mountain) which hopefully will also end up being my perfect all-around tire for my AM bike in a wider size!!!

I have been running a Geax tyres for the couple of years after, riding Maxxis high rollers ever since I started riding. The Geax tyres have been awesome they have been perfect for riding our pump track, jumps and even our local Dh tracks. Geax your the best, keep up the good work.

I absolutely love what these guys have done on their website. Having Aaron's video up on their home page does an awesome job at not only promoting their own products but also the film maker as well. I have a set of the white collection Saguaro and they are so fresh. Not only an awesome dirt tire but the white walls give my ride a classic look (http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/4012697/) and turns heads wherever I go sparking interest in the company. Can't wait for my Neuron's to come! Keep up the good work!

The quality of English may be better but basically they're all sucking up to Geax to get some free tyres, that said;

I haven't seen or heard much about Geax in this country but looking at their videos and who rides for them they look the business, next time I'm buying some tyres I'll check them out, the AKAs seem perfect for what I'm doing (trails, 4X, general playing).

It looks like Geax has hit the Mountain Bike tire market in good places over the past while. I have seen good solid tires come out of the company and I think that the engineers behind them know what mountain bikers want from cornering to rock gardens. The AKA may not handle the rock gardens as well as the Neuron, but looks like a great tire for fast flowing trails and dirt jumps. Geax should keep doing what there doing and keep the tires coming on!

As a sponsored rider for Geax and a fan of the AKA - its great to see a smaller company pushing the design and striving to provide for the progressing nature in our sport.

I use the AKA for dirt jumping and 4X and its incredible - even raced some Downhill on some last year and they performed brilliantly.

Wow.....sorry but im not gonna suck up. This is a great contest and all, but it kinda seems like "Hey whoever can suck up the most gets free tires." I mean dont get me wrong, geax seems like a great company, however, they better be ready to kick some major ass if they wanna beat out some of the bigger names like Maxxis. I have never ridden geax tires...but they better be like riding on a freaking rubber cloud because Maxxis holy rollers are the only decent tires I have been able to find. Anyways, thats just my 2 cents.

The cool thing with Geax is that its not just their tires that are amazing its the whole company its self.... They supported Aaron LaRock for 'Whats Next?' and.. they are willin to sponsor teams internationaly (like DMR) which is awsome and shows they are not just about making money...more making gd tires for all of us riders!!....GD jop Geax, keep it up..theyl only get bigger and better from now...

Each time i think of Geax, I think of their amazing quality. I've ridden their neuron tire and the rubber just hooks up. Geax has got their designs dialed, and is a great company. lately, too many bike brands have gone big corporate, decreasing the quality of their tires. Geax sticks to making the best tires in the world, providing reliable rubber for bikers around the world.

I think these look like spectacular tires, Yes they look absolutely marvelous and i hope Pinkbike allows me to own one, because that would be greatly appreciated!

its good to see another Canadian company growing in popularity, Canadian parts are the best and dont get the respect they deserve. From watching that video its obvious they are a great company, they have some of the best Canadian riders on thier side. If they can keep traction and control in muddy and snowy conditions, the aka must be a great tire. I wish good luck to Geax in the future.

When ever I look at a Geax tire I think "wow the qaulity is immense".
This video couldn't get that across any better.
A hard center for fast rolling tire with supple side knobs for impeccable side bite,suitable to any climate,any place,any time.
Could you settle for anything less?
